Adam Phillips

Adam Phillips, tenor, is a native of Waynesboro, VA. He received both his bachelor's and maste'rs degrees from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. Adam has numerous years of experience as a singer and teacher. He has performed in various opera productions, singing the roles of Tito in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito and Count Almaviva in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia. Adam is passionate about teaching singers of all ages, and has experience in group vocal technique as well as private teaching. Adam is currently the Director of Music at First Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Virginia. He is also the director of Schola Cantorum, Waynesboro, Virginia.

Jenna Sullivan

Jenna Sullivan, soprano, is from Bucks County, PA. A rising junior at Susquehanna University, she is pursuing a degree in Music Education. At Susquehanna, Jenna is an active member and manager of the University Choir and Chamber Singers. She also serves on the executive board of the National Association for Music Education Collegiate chapter. Jenna's performance experience spans both musical theater and opera, with roles including Rizzo in Grease and the First Lady in The Magic Flute. In addition to singing, she enjoys collaborating as a pianist, having worked on productions such as Beauty and the Beast and accompanying performers at Susquehanna. This marks her fourth year attending the Shenandoah Vocal Valley Institute, and she is beyond excited to return for another summer of music-making.

Maddie Widnick

Maddie Widnick, soprano, is a rising senior at Susquehanna University majoring in Music Education, and she is from Harrisburg, PA. On campus, Maddie sings in the University Choir and Chamber Singers, and she serves as their Head Manager. She also plays viola in the University Orchestra and is heavily involved in the Collaborative Piano program. Maddie serves as the vice president of Susquehanna University’s National Association for Music Educators collegiate chapter, and she teaches music classes on the weekends for ages 0-5 as a part of the university’s Music Preparatory program. Maddie is very grateful to be invited back to SVVI for her second year and wants to thank all involved for the opportunity again.

Lisa Albert

Lisa Albert, mezzo-soprano, comes from Bucks County, PA.  She began her training at Temple University in Philadelphia and continued with a master’s degree from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.  She has performed various roles in operas and scenes including Zita in Gianni Schicchi, Un Patre in L’enfant et le sortileges, and Mistress Quickly in Falstaff, among others.  Recently, Mrs. Albert has sung with several ensembles in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New York, and has been a soloist for several oratorio works including St. Matthew Passion, Mozart's Requiem, and Messiah. In addition to performing, Mrs. Albert teaches elementary school music, as well as private piano and voice lessons.
